The Perinton Memorial VFW Post 8495 is helping provide a home for female veterans and their families.
The Post presented a $10,000 check to the Veterans Outreach Center.
The money will help Monroe County's first female veterans and family housing program.
The money was raised through the Post's golf tournament.
The Ladies Auxiliary also donated more than a $1,000 to the effort.
The VOC says it put a purchase offer on a house in Rochester and expects to close on by tomorrow.
The house has two apartments. The apartments each have two bedrooms and are designed to house female vets and their kids for up to two years.
